Delete Your Account

1. Delete from inside the app#

This is the fastest route and it needs nothing from us.

1. Open Lengio and go to Settings.
2. Tap Account.
3. Tap Delete Account, read the confirmation screen, and confirm.

The request takes effect immediately in the app: you are signed out on that device and the account can no longer be used to sign in anywhere. There is then a 7-day grace period during which you can change your mind — sign in again with the same email address or the same Apple or Google identity within those seven days and the deletion is cancelled. After seven days it is executed and cannot be reversed.

We email you when the request is made and when it is executed, so a deletion you did not ask for cannot happen silently.

2. Delete by email (no app needed)#

If you have uninstalled Lengio, lost the device, or simply prefer not to reinstall it, you do not have to. Email us and we will do it for you:

We do not ask you for a password (Lengio has none), a payment detail, an identity document, or anything else. If we cannot match your message to an account we will say so and ask one narrow follow-up question rather than guess — deleting the wrong person's account is the one mistake here that cannot be undone.

We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete them within 30 days, which is the statutory deadline under the GDPR and comparable laws. In practice this is usually done the same day. The same 7-day cancellable grace period applies, counted from when we action the request.

3. What is deleted, what is kept, and for how long#

Deleted, permanently, when the request executes:

• Your email address, and any Apple private-relay address linked to the account.
• Your first name, as you typed it during setup.
• The languages you chose to study, your native language, your interface language, and your time zone.
• Every sign-in identity linked to the account — Apple, Google, or email — including the name Apple gave us once at first sign-in, and the Apple refresh token, which we use to tell Apple to revoke the link before we blank anything else, so Lengio stops appearing in your Apple Account settings.
• Every active session and sign-in token, on every device.
• Any unused sign-in codes for your address.

Kept, and why:

• The record of a purchase — which product, which store, which dates, the store's own transaction identifier, and the notices Apple or Google sent us about it. Tax and consumer-protection law require us to keep records of a sale for 7 years, and we cannot delete them on request. They do not carry your name or your email address after deletion; what remains is the record of a payment, not a record of you.
• A security log line saying that an account with a given internal identifier was deleted, and when. By design this log never contains an email address, a name, an IP address, or a token.

Backups. Our account database keeps a rolling 30-day point-in-time history for disaster recovery. Deleted data may still exist in that window, it is never restored back into the live service, and it ages out on its own within 30 days.

Your progress on the device is a separate thing and deleting the account does not touch it. Your words, streaks, photos and settings live on your phone, not on our servers. To remove those, see section 5.

4. Your subscription is separate#

Deleting your Lengio account does not cancel a paid subscription, and we cannot cancel one for you. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or by Google, not by us, and only they can stop the billing. If you are subscribed, cancel it yourself before you delete the account — afterwards you will still have to, and you will no longer have the account to reach it from.

• iPhone / iPad — Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Lengio → Cancel Subscription.
• Android — Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Lengio → Cancel subscription.

Refunds are also handled entirely by the store you bought from; we have no ability to charge or refund you. See our support page for the refund links.

5. If you never created an account#

Then there is nothing on our servers to delete — your data is on your device and we never had a copy. Two controls remove it:

• Erase All My Progress — in the app, Settings → Erase All My Progress. This clears your words, streaks, statistics, saved content and settings from the device.
• Uninstall Lengio — on iPhone, Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Lengio → Delete App. On Android, Settings → Apps → Lengio → Storage → Clear storage, then uninstall.

Two honest footnotes. If your device backs up to iCloud or to your Google account, a copy of Lengio's data may sit in that backup, which belongs to Apple or Google rather than to us — manage it in your iCloud settings, or in Android → Settings → Google → Backup. And on Android specifically, the random identifier the app attaches to anonymous usage statistics is included in Google's Auto Backup, so it can come back on a reinstall or a new phone rather than being replaced with a fresh one; you can stop those statistics entirely with Settings → Share Usage Data. Our Privacy Policy explains both in full.

6. Questions#

Write to support@lengio.app and a person will answer. You can also ask us to export a copy of your account data before you delete it, correct something in it, or restrict what we do with it — those rights are described in section 14 of the Privacy Policy.

Lengio is published by Nexios Media LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (nexios-media.com), which is the data controller for the account data described above.
